Let’s look at an example calculation.
Inputs:
- Relative dielectric permittivity (εr) = 3.4
- h (substrate height) = 4.25 mils
- t (conductor thickness) = 1.25 mils
- Impedance (Z0) = 50 Ohm
Output:
- Width (W) = 7.44 mils
(Note: Use 1 mm = 39.37 mils, or use a mm to mils converter, as shown below)
