Fujitsu Develops High-Sensitivity RF Receiver Chip for 240GHz Applications

Fujitsu has announced the development of a new RF receiver chip designed for 240GHz (millimeter-wave) applications. This technology aims to enable gigabit-class wireless communication devices, paving the way for high-capacity reception in smartphones and other wireless devices operating in these high-frequency bands.

This new chip boasts a frequency that is 100 times greater than conventional 2GHz devices currently available. This significant increase in frequency translates to a potential 100-fold increase in data capacity. A key component in achieving this performance is the inclusion of a high-gain amplifier.
