Xiaomi Launches First Smartphone with Tegra 4 Processor

On September 5th, 2013, China’s Xiaomi announced the world’s first smartphone powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 processor. NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 and Tegra 3 Quad-core mobile processors have become quite popular among mobile phone manufacturers worldwide. The Tegra 4 is considered one of the fastest mobile processors available.
The Tegra 4 is designed to maximize battery life thanks to its architecture which includes a 72-core NVIDIA GeForce® GPU, a Quad-core ARM Cortex A15 CPU, and a fifth battery saver CPU core (also based on Cortex A15).
In addition to the impressive Tegra-4 mobile processor, this new Mi3 smartphone boasts the following features:
