This document describes a 5G NR ARFCN calculator that performs conversions between NR ARFCN and frequency for 5G New Radio (NR) systems. It also explains the formulas used for these conversions.

5G NR, like LTE, adheres to 3GPP specifications, specifically the 38-series (while LTE uses the 36-series). In 5G NR, RF reference frequencies are identified by an NR Absolute Radio Frequency Channel Number (NR-ARFCN) on the global frequency raster.

The relationship between the NR-ARFCN and the RF reference frequency (FREF) in MHz is defined by the equation below, where FREF-Offs and NRef-Offs are found in table 5.4.2.1-1, and NREF represents the NR-ARFCN.
