Power Divider Calculator Equation
A power divider is a circuit that accepts one RF input signal and splits it into multiple output signals. It’s commonly used in systems where a single RF signal needs to be distributed to several devices.
For instance, in a satellite earth station, multiple signals might be received and need to be distributed across different satellite modems. In such a scenario, an RF power divider is employed after the RF downconverter (which has a single port). The RF power divider divides the single input signal into multiple signals, which are then connected to the IF inputs of the demodulator portion of the modems.
