WiFi-7 Channel number to center frequency conversion as per 802.11be
This page covers WiFi-7 Channel number to center frequency conversion calculator as per IEEE 802.11be. This WiFi-7 channel frequency calculator converts channel number to center frequency as per bandwidth and channel number as inputs.
Introduction: IEEE 802.11be EHT (Extremely High Throughput) standard has been targeted for high throughput, low latency applications such as VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), gaming, cloud computing etc. It supports all the three frequency bands viz. 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz. It supports different bandwidths such as 20 MHz, 40 MHz, 80 MHz, 160 MHz and 320 MHz. Some of the key features supported include 4096 QAM, MLO (Multi-link operation). 16 x 16 MIMO, OFDMA multi-RU allocation to single STA, Preamble puncturing etc.
➨IEEE 802.11be AP must support 160 MHz width in 6 GHz band, 80 MHz width in 5 GHz band and 20 MHz width in 2.4 GHz band.
➨Non-AP STA must support 80 MHz channel width in 5/6 GHz. 20 MHz STA can operate in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
