September 11, 2013 - D-Link has announced its selection of Broadcom’s StrataGX processor and 5G WiFi system-on-chip (SoC) for its 802.11ac compliant WLAN Access Points (APs). By integrating Broadcom’s System on Chip (SoC) into its 802.11ac access points, D-Link aims to significantly boost processing power – reportedly up to 10 times – while also reducing power consumption.
