The term “Radome” is derived from “Radar Dome.” It’s a protective enclosure designed to shield a radar antenna, or any other wireless antenna, from environmental elements.
Radar Radome Thickness Calculator
The following calculator requires the radar carrier frequency (operating frequency) as input and outputs the radome thickness. The relative permittivity of the radome material is also needed as input for accurate calculations.
Example:
- INPUT: Fc = 24.125 GHz, εr = 2.9
- OUTPUT: radome thickness = 3.6 mm , λm = 0.0073
