Introduction: SHC-C68 cables are manufactured by NI (National Instruments). There are four different types of SHC-C68 cables based on connector types, impedance, shielding and their applications.

NI SHC68 C68 cable

SH68-68-D1 cable

• Connector A/B : Female 0.050 D-type
• Shielding : Single
• Impedance : 79 Ohm
• Applications : recommended to use for counter / timer devices.

SHC68-C68 D2 cable

• Connector A/B : VHDCI
• Shielding : Single
• Impedance : 50 Ohm
• Availability : No longer available, it is being replaced by D4 type.

SHC68-C68 D3 cable

• Connector A/B : VHDCI
• Shielding : Double
• Impedance : 100 Ohm
• Applications : It is used for DDC i.e. Digital Data and Control.

SHC68-C68 D4 cable

• Connector A/B : VHDCI
• Shielding : Single
• Impedance : 50 Ohm
• Applications : It is used for HSDIO i.e. High Speed Digital I/O.
