5QI table | 5G QoS identifier values and meanings

This page describes 5G QoS identifier, 5QI values and their meanings. The 5QI table covers 5QI values and its various QoS parameters.

Introduction:
QoS identifier is a scalar value used in 5G NR (New Radio) as reference to specific QoS forwarding behavior. The different parameters such as packet error rate, packet delay budget etc. are provided to QoS flow. It is implemented in access network by 5QI referencing node. QoS flow can either be "GBR" or "Non-GBR" based on QoS profile. QoS profile of QoS flow is transmitted to RAN. Each of the QoS flow use QoS profile with following QoS parameters which include 5QI (5G QoS Identifier) and ARP (Allocation and Retention Priority). Each non-GBR QoS flow also include RQA (Reflective QoS Attribute) parameter. Each GBR QoS flow also include GFBR (Guaranteed Flow Bit Rate) and MFBR (Maximum Flow Bit Rate) for UL and DL. Following QoS parameters may also been included in GBR QoS flow viz. notification control and maximum packet loss rate (UL and DL).
